Bringing diagnostics and intermediary care into the community

BDH Community Ventures were commissioned by Havering PCT to convert a disused data centre into a modern Health Centre facility, ensuring compliancy with new health care standards, and moving care from local hospitals into the community.
We analysed healthcare trends in the area, tailoring services to meet the needs of the community and providing seamless care pathways to save time and patient back logs. The new polyclinic provides a range of services from minor injury units to diagnostic and phlebotomy facilities.
The building was officially opened on Friday 17th December 2010 by Angela Watkinson, MP for Hornchurch and Upminster. Since opening, the walk in centre has been a one stop shop for local residents easing the pressure from Queen’s Hospital A&E Department by providing treatment for minor ailments and injuries.
